South Bay Taskforce Haiyan TPS

South Bay Taskforce Haiyan, a network of community organizations and individuals devoted to sustaining support to victims of Typhoon Haiyan, will host a press conference to call for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for the Philippines in commemoration of Valentine’s Day. If granted TPS, undocumented and out-of-status Filipinos in the US may apply to obtain protection from deportation, authorization to work and the possibility of travel outside the country. TPS would allow Filipinos in the US to more actively take part in the rebuilding of the Philippines.

Will feature representatives/testimony from:
● South Bay Taskforce Haiyan
● Participants of the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns’ Solidarity and Health Missions to affected areas
● Potential TCS Beneficiaries from the Philippines
● Office Congressman Mike Honda
